I'm Sonya Elizabeth, an abstract artist based in North London. I believe a pop of colour has the power to shift your mood and boost your confidence—not in a small way, but with infectious joy.

Inspiration & Process
​
My art journey reignited on a rainy day when I picked up a paintbrush to amuse my children. I couldn't stop, and soon after, Sonya Elizabeth Art was born!

Inspiration: I find beauty in the gardens and open spaces around my North London home. I am inspired by the colours of Art Nouveau Flowers and large-scale abstract designs.

The Studio: My vibrant kitchen/studio is where the magic happens—full of tea, food, flowers, and the joy that flows onto canvas.

Technique: My impatient nature makes acrylic paint the perfect medium. I love its quick-drying properties, allowing me to layer paint, create bold pattern, and experiment with mark making.

Sustainable Focus: Where possible, I aim for sustainability by upcycling unloved canvases.
